So, what are your views on abortion? Are you Pro-A, Pro-L, or Pro-Choice? I personally am Pro-A because there are plenty of cases where it is necessary, and a woman should be able to get one if needed.

I have to agree too. It's a woman's decision, so it's whatever she thinks is right.

Yeah. Here's a story I read:

A man raped a woman and she ended up pregnant. She decided to get an abortion but a few days before the abortion was to take place, the man who raped her came back and stopped the abortion.

Question: Should the man have the right to do this, seeing as he is the biological father of the baby?

My answer: Absolutely not! No man should ever be able to have rights to a child whom he forced a woman to tears and abused her for. She didn't want to be pregnant in the first place. He is not father. He's a rapist.

I agree. She doesn't want the baby and like I said, this is her choice. The rapist should've been arrested at the time.

Yeah, I know. But since he is the biological father, he legally has rights to the baby. I find that awfully stupid.

If they were a couple and he got her pregnant and they broke up, that's different.

No. They were never dating. He didn't even know her. He just raped her.

Yeah, but one of my favorite quotes. "Sadly, life isn't fair." In no way should that man have any rights to that baby. But according to the laws of America, he does.

I don't know. I'm not too familiar with other country's laws besides the US and UK. It's taken me years of research to even familiarize myself with those. Razz

They might. I don't know. I'm familiar with the US, UK and I'm familiarizing myself with Japan.

HelloGoodBye

It depends on the situation, if it was rape that got her this baby, yes she has to right to get an abortion, if so wishes. Otherwise, I think if it was unattended, like they were not married, under age, and being stupid and not using a condom, then no, I think they should not be allowed to get an abortion. It was them not being smart to give this baby a life, and they shouldn't kill what they did knowingly, adoption, or keep the baby. Not abortion.

If the baby is very ill and will not live, yes an abortion is fine. ONLY if it is POSITIVE the baby will not live. If there is a very very low chance of the baby living, I think it is best to not risk the emotional scarring that the baby will not live.

That is my opinion.

Sometimes I want to scream, "Seriously people! If you're gonna have sex, use a condom! Or sperm+egg = baby!" (Eh, sorry, I've been spending too much time on another website) But yes, I think that it's very irresponsible to have sex without a condom and then get pregnant. However, think of it this way. The baby will be born into either

1. Born to two parents who may not be ready to raise a child.
2. Be put up for adoption. This can be living hell for a child.
3. Find a loving family.

Though Option 3 is the best for a baby, it's the most unlikely of all these options and chances are the baby will have either one of the first two options. This can seriously be living hell for a kid. I have some statistics of how many kids commit suicide because of this. Honestly, I think abortion is best if two people aren't ready for a baby. Because I'd never want my child to suffer.
