Regret
The feeling will never disappear,
The loss,
The shame,
The uncertainty,
She's gone,
You're hurt,
But you treat him like dirt
Don't you know,
That lashing out,
Only strains the situation more,
He's more than upset,
But you're gonna regret,
The life you made him live,
The way you're hurting him
When you look into his eyes,
What comes to mind,
Do you see her,
Slowly creeping by,
Is that why you go out at night,
Return to him and pick a fight,
As your cold fingers strike his teary cheeks,
Tell me what do you feel
Do you hear his cries,
Do you see the tears falling from his eyes,
He has his regrets,
But you're just adding to them,
You don't know the half of her life,
Do you consider how he lost someone,
A lost person
Don't you know,
That lashing out,
Only strains the situation more,
He's more than upset,
But you're gonna regret,
The life you made him live,
The way you're hurting him
Do you think of what she'd ask you to do,
Don't you think she'd want you to love him too
As he cries,
And thinks of the lies,
Hidden behind,
Her stone cold eyes,
He decides to keep the promise he made to her,
What was a lie shall remain as it were
****Author's Note****
Mainly for any father who abuses to son after the loss of a mother and wife. Mainly Chad, who's father even accused him of killing his mother. It actually happens quite often and this is a reply I write to those fathers.
