So, in summary, Gabrielle Giffords, a Congresswoman for the state of Arizona was holding a sort of meet-and-greet outside of a local grocery store in Tuscan. She didn't have any security, and a man named Jared Loughner basically walked up to her and shot her. The bullet went through her head, she was rumored to be dead, but it was later found that she was alive, though in critical condition. Among those killed was a young girl, age 9. She was there to learn more about government, as she had just been elected to her school student council. She never made it out alive.
People are arguing that he was either deranged/troubled, however I don't know much about that.
So, what do you think about the shootings? And what do you think about the whole Sarah Palin situation involved in this? And do you have any personal experience.
I, for one, feel absolutely horrible when I think of Christina, because she was so innocent and young. To me, she would have been a wonderful future for this country. And I quote, "Her life began on a tragedy, and ended on one." I wish the best to Representative Giffords and her recovery. And hopefully this will get sorted out, to put the country at peace.
I don't know much about the Sarah Palin thing, but it's definitiely suspicious. I can't make any assumptions though, seeing as I don't have enough information.
And yes, I do have personal experience. My mom worked in Tuscan until about three weeks ago. There was a lot of crime down there. We saw the scene of a murder and someone got mugged in my mother's very own hotel. I think that there should have been some security. Though it's expensive, it might have helped prevent some of this from happening. And, as to my mom working in Tuscan, I'm just glad she got out of there safely. It's scary to think about the fact that I was there, but I'm not the one who got shot.
My best goes to all the victims and their families.
