So, it's pretty simple.
What do you think of the Death Penality? Do you believe the government should be allowed to execute someone if they committed a certain crime? Do you think that the Death Penality is wrong and should not be allowed at all? Or do you believe it should be legal, but with certain restrictions such as DNA testing to prove the person is guilty?
I personally understand both sides of the argument very well. However, I believe the Death Penality is a waste of money. I mean, yes, I'd rather have a criminal executed, if I was a hundred percent sure they were guilty. However, you can't just assume that they're guilty because there is a little evidence that linked them to the crime. Someone could have tried to frame them for all we know.
I understand that it would give closure to the victim's families, but, I also see it as revenge. Doing the same thing to another as they did to us. I hate how some (I'm not saying all, just a few) Republicans go on about how moral they are by voting against gay marriage and abortion, yet, when it comes to the Death Penality, it's just, "Kill them! It's right for our country!"
Life is the only crime that can't be reversed. Therefore, if we execute someone, adn they turn out to be innocent, we can't compensate them. They're gone, and they can never be brought back. For something they ddin't do either. There are so many inmates on death row that are proven innocent moments before their execution. If this doesn't show a flaw in the Judicial System of America, I don't know what does.
