Well, some of you might have heard of all the gay suicides recently. A very publicized one would be Tyler Clementi, who committed suicide after he asked his roommate if he could have the room to himself one night. His roommate agreed but left his webcam on. He then went to a friend's room and turned on the webcam. He captured an intimacy between Clementi and another male, then posted it on the internet. Clementi jumped off the Washington Bridge soon after.
Now, many suicides like this have been happening recently, so in light of this, on October 20th, I ask you all to dig out some purple from your closet and wear it. Just to commemorate them all.
