Oil Spill

Well, what are your opinions on the Oil Spill? How do you believe the government handled it? What do you think they should have done?

Well, I believe that our government could have done better. I honestly didn't see much of an initiative to really clean up the Gulf of Mexico until the beginning of June. I know that they did try, bit I didn't see it. Also, we would have just been better of without the dispersant. That's worse than the oil and so now the oil is broken up but there are just more chemicals in the water.

I know they mean well, but they have to really do something about it. They aren't doing anything right.

No. They're not. Honestly, what's the point of the dispersant? That's worse than the actual oil! And honestly, the government (in my mind) was also at fault here.

Poorly. I think they were doing everything wrong, or not trying...

They were trying. Just not as much as they should have.

The goverenment and BP (sorry for language) screwed up pretty bad. They shouldn't have even been drilling over here

Bad language? Where? I didn't see any...
Well, I mean, it's not the fact that they were drilling over there that was the problem. Or not even the fact that it exploded. It's just the lack of effort they showed to cap the well and clean up the gulf.

well its also kind of the government's fault, they should be helping more (the solutions are just making it worse)

poor little animals. and the beaches are going to be disgusting. that makes me sick to see that happen

Yeah. it was partly the government's fault. And they're not coming up with the best solutions. But, (and take into consideration how little faith I have in our country's government before I say this) you can't say they did nothing. Sure, they didn't do a good enough job that they should have. Okay, not even close to good enough. But they did do something.

I think this was what Michael meant when he said Heal The World. He knew this would happen!!!!!

Well, that was basically about everything at the time.
He might have felt the same way as me, which is the world is in a horrible state right now.
