I am in love
With the boy next door
His heart with loving grace
I am in love
With the boy next door
With love should never be
His eyes are so
Beautiful
In dreams of golden seas
If you should know
Of how we meet
Or gazing of his mind
One day he’ll know where I am
I’ll say, “I live on 61 Conington Avenue.”
And he’ll say, “I live on 63.”
Then I have nothing to say
Please don’t go away
From our endless dreams
I am in love
With the boy next door
When nothing but to mind
I am in love
With the boy next door
He’ll finally understand
(Instrumental with humming of the lyrics.)
Then one day at midnight
He’ll come to me
With his arms open wide
Then I’ll come to him
And hope I’ll say,
(Spoken) Owen, I love you.
I am in love
With the boy next door
His heart with loving grace
I am in love
With the boy next door
With love that should never be
Or maybe some
Time to come
And courage to be
And in that time
I’ll have what it takes
To be with
The boy next door.
Inspiration
I wrote this song while I was writing one of my other stories called The Jackson's Apprentice. Miracle finds out that there's a boy who delivers papers to the ranch and she falls in love with him.
With the boy next door

I am in love
